We watched the well-publicized Anthony Bourdain show on Iran that was broadcast on CNN this past Sunday night. All in all, we found it somewhat disappointing. Since, as was to be expected, the accent was on food, especially street food, there was not all that much shown about attractions in Iran itself. Most of the show took place in Tehran and showed the host eating in various locations. Then he went to Isfahan and ate some more.
The best part of the show was at the very beginning, when, in the voice of a little girl, a brief history of relations between the U.S, and Iran was related. It only lasted 2-3 minutes but it was very moving.
