Iran – A Land of Great Ice Cream
While it may be true that most people do not visit Iran to sample the ice cream, the fact is that Iran boasts some of the most delicious ice cream you ever tasted. Yes, it can be said that Iran is an ice cream Mecca. The ice cream we had on our trip last spring was at least as good, if not better, than the best gelato we ate in Italy. The biggest problem was deciding which flavor to choose. One place we stopped at on the main highway between Tabriz and Tehran had 62 flavors. We each ordered two flavors and tried each other’s, but that still left 58 flavors untasted. I guess we’ll have to go back.
